Formal Review of ArchiMate Technical Standard commencesWe are pleased to announce the formal Open Group Review of the ArchiMate(R) Version 1.0 Technical Standard under the Standard Track Review procedure, with the ArchiMate Forum as sponsor of the review. The review will commence on November 7 2008 and end on December 12th 2008 at 8am UK local time. Participation is open to all Open Group members. The draft ArchiMate 1.0 technical standard represents the ArchiMate language definition as it currently exists today. The language definition results from the ArchiMate project, and was initially maintained by the ArchiMate Foundation. The goal of standardizing version 1.0 is to maintain compatability with the current definition and establish a baseline standard. Once the ArchiMate 1.0 standard has been approved, work will commence on the development of an ArchiMate 2.0 draft standard providing a tighter integration with TOGAF, while still ensuring backward compatibility to the pre-existing ArchiMate 1.0 standard. For more information on the ArchiMate Forum, and ArchiMate see http://www.opengroup.org/archimate/ ArchiMate ArchiMate is The Open Group's open and independent modelling language for enterprise architecture, supported by different tool vendors and consulting firms. ArchiMate provides instruments to support enterprise architects in describing, analyzing and visualizing the relationships among business domains in an unambiguous way. Well-established disciplines like civil engineering or building and construction use internationally accepted standards for describing their designs. Our Participants ![]() |
